"This is a nightmare story - or could have been.

I had just come home from a good friend's wedding - a very small affair, and I'm a hobby photographer, but pretty good at, so she had asked me to take her wedding photos. I plugged my camera into my computer and started the download process - I had a 4 GB card, so I knew it would take a while. I went upstairs to wind down, and when I came back down to my computer, everything was blue. I couldn't get my computer to do anything. I turned it off and back on, and my heart started to race. Nothing happened. Blue screen again. Well, my computer had crashed, and nothing was working. I started to panic, but in the back of my mind I was thinking, oh my God, thank goodness I haven't deleted them from the camera. I picked up my camera to check that everything was ok, and I couldn't get a picture - the photo card was gone and the images were corrupted. I have to say, a few harsh words were spoken, and some tears were shed. Just at that moment my friend called to thank me for taking the photos, and I didn't have the heart to tell her what had happened. I couldn't believe what had happened. I had stumbled across Selkie Photo Recovery a few days before, and I had looked at it and thought I can't see ever needing something like that. Now I knew I did need it. I got on my laptop, and bought myself a copy. I ran down to a local computer store and found a crossover cable, and came home with my heart in my mouth. This has to work. And it did! I managed to get about 80% of the photos back - the ones that had downloaded onto my computer before the system crashed, and my card exploded. I couldn't believe it. More tears were shed, but happy ones this time! I learned a few things from this experience, and one of them is that I will always keep a copy of Selkie Photo Recovery close at hand because sooner or later the unimaginable will probably happen again :( - I can't thank you guys at Tugboat enough for creating this amazing product!"
